Polar Bears and Global Warming

For this groups final project they made a children's book on polar bears and global warming. They read it to classes at the Robinson School and passed out book marks to the kids!

What stuck with you today?

At the end of each unit the class is given a sticky note and we write something that "stuck" with us.

Dolphin cruelty in Taiji, Japan

In the year 2011, the ongoing secret in Taiji, Japan was exposed. For several years, fishermen have killed 27,000 dolphins each year in a secret cove. No one in Japan knows about this cruelty because it has been kept a secret for so many years. The government knew about this, but they didn’t do anything about it because Japan is the biggest export of fish, and they are continuing to kill these dolphins in order to get more fish These fishermen are supposed to puncture these dolphins in the head, so that they die quickly and painlessly, but they are just stabbing them wherever, so these dolphins are swimming around in their own blood gasping for one more breath.
